Carbon Literacy is a low-carbon-culture-change project that brings individuals and organisations to act together to address the negative aspects of climate-change, take advantage of the opportunities and work together to build our low carbon future.
Carbon Literate Localities is an initiative bringing together many people and organisations that belong to a geographically define location to support and collaborate through their Carbon Literacy so that the sum of their individual contributions becomes more than the sum of its parts.
A Carbon Literate Locality initiative:
The requirements for a Carbon Literate Locality are laid out in the Carbon Literate Locality Standard (coming soon), but once achieved, the locality is awarded Carbon Literate Locality status and the co-ordinating and contributing organisations can use their custom CLL logo and refer to themselves as part of a Carbon Literate Village/Town/City/County/Region.
If you feel your organisation could represent a defined locality and would like to know more, read the CLL Standard and then email CLL@carbonliteracy.com to explain your interest and ambition and request a conversation with an advocacy consultant.
