In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the heightened fear and anxiety many are feeling, it brings us a little happiness to let you know that action on climate change continues, and this month we reached our second milestone of 2020 – 13,000 learners certified as Carbon Literate!
This means that over 26,000 actions have been pledged in communities, businesses, local authorities, schools and universities, across the UK and beyond, helping to pave the road (or bike lane) to zero-carbon.
With many working from home, to slow the spread of the virus and bolster the efforts of our amazing NHS, you may think that for many Carbon Literacy training and action on climate change might be taking a back-seat. However, dedicated teams from organisations across the nation are continuing to work hard to progress towards a zero-carbon society, helping us to develop distance learning solutions to enable training to continue to take place. To find out more about how The Carbon Literacy Project is responding in the face of COVID-19, read on here.
