Purchasing a block of certificate applications saves you paperwork by minimising the number of purchase orders and invoices required, saves you money and saves your budget – it’s a win-win-win! Certificate applications remain on account with us until they can be used by your organisation – maximising the effectiveness of your budget into the year to come.

If you have a year-end surplus, spend it wisely and invest in Carbon Literacy certification at a discounted rate. Even if your budgeting isn’t affected by year-end, it’s still a great opportunity to secure certification at a discounted rate before the £10 Base Price* increases in summer after a decade of inflation.

Spotlight on – Cardiff City Council

Last year, Cardiff City Council chose to bulk-buy certificate applications to minimise the number of invoices as they looked to increase Carbon Literacy across the council. Over the past year, they have more than doubled the number of people trained and expanded Carbon Literacy to all reaches of the council.

Cardiff City Council is in the process of developing Carbon Literacy for their elected members, as well as targeting specific directorates that have a high carbon impact such as procurement and highways. They are also looking to expand Carbon Literacy to their 6,000 education staff.

This work has also helped improve buy-in from senior management in regard to the impact of Carbon Literacy.

What discounts are available?

Any organisation that pays the Base Price* for certificate applications is eligible to apply for a discount under the scheme.

The discounts available can be found in the table below.

* Base Price applies to all public sector, education and community audiences, including community-based training run by social housing organisations, and any organisation that’s turnover/revenue is less than £5M. The discount is not available to organisations paying Enhanced pricing. Pricing tiers can be viewed in the Price Matrix.

Deadline

Don’t delay, the discounts only last until the end of the month!

The discounts available apply to all orders made until the 31st March 2025**.

** Purchase Orders must be received on or by the 31st March 2025 to be processed with the discount.
