This December, our community came together in an extraordinary show of generosity, hope, and commitment to climate action. Thanks to everyone who donated, shared our campaign, and championed our work, we are thrilled to announce that our Big Give Christmas Challenge raised a total of £6,770.06, including individual donations, Gift Aid, and our match funders’ incredible support.

At a time when young people are facing a rapidly changing world, this collective effort sends a powerful message: climate education matters, and every school deserves access to high-quality, empowering resources that help staff and students take meaningful action.

Why This Matters

The climate emergency isn’t a distant problem for future generations. It’s a present reality, and one that today’s students will be asked to navigate, solve, and lead through. Schools sit at the heart of this challenge. They shape the knowledge, confidence, and agency young people carry into the world.

Yet many teachers receive little formal training on climate change. That’s why our Carbon Literacy Schools Toolkit exists: to give educators the skills and confidence to embed climate action into every corner of school life, building resilient, hopeful, and empowered communities.

Having launched earlier this year, the Toolkit is already helping teachers and staff to inspire their students, share best practice, and create low-carbon projects across their school environments.

What Your Donations Will Achieve

The £6,770.06 raised through the Christmas Challenge will help us:

• Support hundreds more teachers, leaders, and school staff to become Carbon Literate
• Remove cost barriers so that more schools, including those with limited resources, can access the Toolkit
• Strengthen whole-school approaches to sustainability, embedding climate action into daily routines, curriculum planning, and leadership structures
• Empower young people to turn climate concern into confidence, creativity, and meaningful action

Every gift, all doubled through our matchfunding partners Beechfield Brands and PlanAid, helps build long-term cultures of sustainability, preparing the climate leaders of tomorrow.
