Explore this archive of our previous fundraising campaigns that helped to raise vital funds for the expansion of Carbon Literacy in sectors, communities and nations across the world. These grassroots efforts were generously supported by our fantastic Carbon Literacy community of individuals, organisations and trainers who helped us raise awareness, deliver essential learning, and inspire action to make a lasting difference in the face of climate change.
Help us launch Carbon Literate Localities
From the 22nd – 29th April 2025, we took part in the Big Give’s Green Match Fund for the third year in a row.
Through this fundraiser, we raised funds for Carbon Literate Localities – a new initiative that aims to join up Carbon Literate learners and organisations within their localities, so they can work together towards shared climate goals and create an unstoppable momentum for change in response to the climate crisis.

Carbon Literacy Snowball Effect
From 3rd – 10th December 2024, we took part in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge for the second year in a row.
During this campaign, we instigated the Carbon Literacy Snowball Effect – and surpassed our fundraising target – to support our mission to bring Carbon Literacy to new sectors and reach more communities than ever before in 2025!

Empower Global Communities with Carbon Literacy
From 18th – 25th April 2024, we took part in the Green Match Fund, the largest match funding campaign that supports environmental charities to double their impact.
Through this campaign, we raised funds to provide greater access to Carbon Literacy in the Global South at a fair price, enabling more learners to gain the skills required to thrive in our changing world and catalysing climate action on an international scale.

Carbon Literacy Goes Global!
From 28th November – 5th December 2023, we took part in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge – the UK’s biggest match-funded campaign!
For one week only, any donations made to our festive fundraiser – Carbon Literacy Goes Global – were matched by supporting organisations, therefore doubling the impact and helping donations go even further in supporting our cause and mission of globalisation in 2024.

Carbon-bola
In July 2023 we brought to you the Carbon-bola – our Carbon Literacy Tombola, a prize draw where one lucky winner had the chance to win a bundle of Patagonia goodies to help on their outdoor adventures.

Carbon Literacy Double
In April 2023, we took part in the Big Give’s Green Match Fund – a week-long match-funding campaign that supports environmental charities.
During this week, any donations made to our campaign – the Carbon Literacy Double – were matched and therefore doubled, supporting our mission to double in size and impact after a successful 2022.

10 for 10 Accelerator
2022 was an exciting year here at The Carbon Literacy Project, as we celebrated our 10 year anniversary! To mark the occasion, we ran our first-ever major fundraiser – the 10 for 10 Accelerator.
We saw an incredible amount of community and generosity throughout 2022 for our 10 for 10 Accelerator, as we received support from hundreds of individuals, members of our Trainer network, organisations and personal fundraisers – all in the name of Carbon Literacy!
